Production Blog: Filming the Flashback!!

     Welcome to my blog, for today I will write about the experience of filming the rest of the music video. Like I wrote about in my previous blog, that day the filming was only done at the beach. So, on another day the next set had to be filmed. Once at my house, the filming took place. However, not everything is going to be the same as it was on the storyboard. Because this music video originally had a male as one of the main characters, that meant that we need a male actor. But we had to change the plot a bit to match with who we got to act. So instead of it being a flashback of the MC arguing with her boyfriend (EX) it is now her arguing with her best friend. Something else that is different from the storyboard is the earbuds. Now instead of wired headphone, it changed to Air pods because the wired headphones did not work. Back to the actual filming process. The flashback took multiple tries to see which angle was the best. Once the angle was found I filmed them arguing. After that it was the MC running out the house slamming the door. Now where the Air pods take place is when I filmed the MC walking while putting them on. After that is the scene were a figure bumps into her and she looks back while taking one headphone off. That scene did take a while to film because the wind was so strong. And since the idea was to mute the non-diegetic song for a bit and let the song from the air pods play. It was a bit time consuming to get the finial clip. But after that everything else was done filming wise. That means that my next two blogs will be on the editing process.
