Production Blog: Postcard

 

Hey everyone, it is me again. In this blog, I will discuss the process of making the postcard for the short film package. The website that I used to create the postcard is Canva. I picked Canva because I have experience using the application. It is really easy to design anything on Canva. All you have to do is type in the type you are looking for in the search bar, in this case, a postcard, and various designs will pop up. So, that is what I did. I searched for postcards on Canva, and multiple styles popped up. I selected a simple postcard design and made the background neutral colors. My idea was to make it all neutral shades of green, yellow, and brown. And then add hints of red here and there. I decided on this because our whole idea for the short film is war. And when I think of war, I think of the basic generic camo color scheme. And it worked out pretty well. It honestly, is better that I decided on those colors because they actually match the uniform that the actors were wearing. I might change how the postcard looks at the end as I am still a bit indecisive on how exactly I want the finished product to end. But once everything is finalized and if I make any changes, I will let you know. Well, that is it for today's blog. BYEE~~~
