Title Website Research

  

When searching up “opening sequence website” I came across Art of the Title. It looked like a great place to start doing my research on what a title should be for an opening sequence. I liked this website because it gave the possibility to search up thrillers and how they look like. When I typed in “Thriller” I found notable examples that I can take ideas of off. It also helped me realize that I do not have to stick to one specific design for a thriller and I can change it up to fit my pitch. It also just showed what a title should be without it being a thriller. So, I do not get locked on one specific idea. Another reason why this website is so good I t that you can look up different designers and see what they make. So, if someone likes a specific designer, they can look them up. This website overall was a great way to do our research on how a title design should be.  

As I continued doing my research on title designs, I came across “Watch the Title!” This website was extremely helpful because it also let me customize the research options based on what I was looking for. I was able to come across several types of titles that help me further understand what I can do. Plus, it had different options for the same genre. There are hundreds of different genres and designs to look up. For example, our group decided on Thriller, so looking up thriller options was easy to come across. Also, along with that even if we did decide on thriller, there were other genres we could have looked at that can help us with thrillers. Such as, horror, horror is like thriller in a couple of ways so taking ideas is fine. They also include different designers who are famous, so we could take some of their designs as inspiration. After all the research on title designs, we can design one that will complete what we need.
